Treatment Procedure

The procedure requires three appointment. The first appointment is the consultation phase.  This is a time to tell the doctor what you want your smile to look like.  We also take pictures, oral records and discuss sedation if this is preferred. At the second appointment the face/s of the tooth, or teeth, is prepared by minimal reduction of 0.5 to 0.75 mm in order to make room for the porcelain laminate. An impression (or, mould) is then taken of the prepared tooth for fabrication at a laboratory, and a plastic temporary veneer fitted, where possible, for the interim period. Laboratory fabrication takes approximately 2-4 week. At the subsequent visit, the temporary veneer/s is removed and the final veneer/s is permanently bonded into place.
