If you want a strong and healthy smile, then our dentist, Dr. Coley Ramsey, strongly encourages you to keep up on oral hygiene (by brushing twice a day and flossing and rinsing daily) and attend your dental checkups every six months. There are also little things you can do to increase your chances of achieving your smile goals. Our dentist also encourages you to do those things, which are:

-Chew gum: Chewing gum can help you prevent cavities, gum disease and other dental issues. This is because it produces saliva when you chew it. When you produce saliva, you wash the problem-causing bacteria in your mouth away. So, make sure to chew sugar-free gum regularly, like after every meal.

-Kiss more: Little did you know, kissing can also help you have a top-notch smile. This is because it also produces saliva, and saliva constantly washes the mouth. So, if possible, kiss as much as you can! But, only if it’s welcomed.

-Have a healthy and active lifestyle: Living a healthy lifestyle can help you have strong teeth because healthy foods and drinks help you have strong bones as well as strong and healthy tooth enamel. Staying active can also help you because when you exercise, you are less stressed. When you’re stressed, you tend to clench and grind your teeth. This can be dangerous for the smile.
